We kept the crew busy today hauling in nice halibut and a few yelloweye rockfish. And with calm seas and occasional sunshine we couldn’t ask for more. – Capt. Steve
Nice halibut were the order of the day on the Pursuit today. Everyone caught a nice “over” and after we headed to fish for our under 29″ers Stephanie didn’t get the memo and released one about 60.
Today was the annual Combat Fishing Tournament where the Seward charter fleet honors those serving our country by taking them fishing. We had a great day on the water and are thankful for the service of these dedicated men and women.
Royce & Co. showed up today on the Pursuit. We had a great day hauling in Halibut between all of the banter and found a few hungry Kings on the bottom too.
We found steady action for halibut today but we interrupted the bite to rescue a drift away GoPro from the crew filming a new web video for us. In the end we ended up with a limit of halibut and a few yelloweyes. -Capt. Steve
Capt. Keoni and I teamed up on the Interceptor today. After busting a little wind chop in the morning it turned out to be a beautiful day. Doran’s 80 pounder, the first fish of the day, turned out to be the big one. We finished with a limit of halibut and some colorful rockfish too.
I just got back from Homer where we launched the new ProFish for the first time! It was a successful sea trial and the boat showed great performance in terms of handling, speed, and fuel economy. It’s now off to the bottom painter and should be here in Seward next week. Huge thanks to Eric at Bay Welding. This has been the quickest, smoothest both build ever!
